Today's just an excuse and honestly I'd celebrate you on any day ending in "y." But today being the girlfriend's day is just another reason, so I'm taking it.
Being in a long distance couples is usually very hard, and you've made even that feel easy. Thank you for the good morning texts that somehow always land right when I need them, for staying up late just so I COULD hear your voice, and for making a screen feel as warm as a room with you in it.
I know "long distance" isn't the love story either of us pictured, but there's no one I'd rather count down the days with. Here's to more ordinary days that don't feel ordinary at all, and to however many KMs it takes until there are none left between us. Keep going, there's more waiting for you.
